ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Students interested in studying leadership as it relates to the criminal justice field will have a new option this fall at Mountain State University Orlando. The campus is extending its existing Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership to include a concentration in Criminal Justice Administration.
This is the first time the criminal justice administration concentration has been offered for the BSOL on the Orlando campus, though MSU offers the option online and at the University's main campus in Beckley, W.Va.
"We are excited to give students at the Orlando campus the option of completing the criminal justice concentration with the leadership programs," said Randy White, MSU Orlando Executive Director. "Classes start in September, and students are enrolling now."
The BSOL is a practical, action oriented degree program designed for working adults. The program helps students improve their problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills. The concentration in criminal justice administration provides an understanding of the nature and dynamics of criminal justice organizations.
The degree program uses a cohort format bringing students with common interests and goals together for the duration of the program. A flexible structure combines once-a-week class meetings, weekly online chats, group projects and individual assignments, allowing students to complete their degree in an accelerated format.
MSU provides academic credit for many other college courses, qualifying training and certifications at no charge. Financial aid is available for qualified students, including special programs for veterans, active duty military and National Guard members.
